Happy Happy Birthday Christian Dear...

What better way to start up blogging again than to wish my sweet Christian a Happy Happy 10th Birthday! I can't even believe it has been 10 years.

Christian is such a blessing in our family and I feel so lucky to be able to be his Mom.

In Celebration of his 10th birthday here are 10 things you may or may not know about him...

1. Christian joined our family 4 weeks before he was supposed to. He tried to join even earlier but the Dr's just wouldn't let him. Thank heavens because he was quite the little bird. He had the skinniest little legs...I don't think he had an ounce of fat on his bones and to this day he still doesn't!! He definitely doesn't take after his Mother...LOL!

2. Christian is one of the most loving children you will ever meet. He always has a smile on his face and a hug for everyone. Once while at Disneyland we ran into a family in our ward. We had only been living in our new ward for a short couple of months and didn't really know this family but stopped to say Hi because we recognized them. While talking to her Christian came up to say Hi and gave her the biggest hug ever. After they walked away I asked Christian how he knew her, thinking she must have taught him in primary or something. He responded..."I don't but I thought if you were talking to her she must be nice."

3. Christian is very animated. He was quite the attention getter at this years 4th grade production...he not only knew every word to every song but he enunciated every word perfectly. If you were sitting in the audience and couldn't hear you would have been able to "hear" the whole program just by watching Christians lips!

4. Christian is quite the whiz on the computer. He has mastered power point and made many through out the year for his teacher. He even made a power point on how to make power points and taught his class. He also emails many of his school friends and even emailed me a document to my cell phone to let me know what he wanted for his birthday. Shopping for him this year was SUPER EASY!!

5. Christian has had way too many ear infections in his life to count! He has had to have tubes in his ears twice and had his adenoids and tonsils out when he was just 3. A few hours after his tonsil surgery he told us he was hungry and wanted nothing to eat but potato chips...OUCH!

6. Christian is quite the ladies man...has been since he was tiny. If you were to poke your head in the lunch room over at school you would find him surrounded by girls! Should I be worried?!?

7. Christian is very close with his Great Grandma Ellis who in the past couple years has been diagnosed with dementia. This year he has spent many hours playing games and coloring with her and even just sitting and holding her hand. She doesn't remember all of us and often has difficulty talking but if asked she always knows who Christian is.

8. Christian sees the good in any situation...even when things don't always go as they should! A couple of years ago while on a family trip to Boston Christian got a horrible flu bug. Instead of crying and complaining he was smiling and cheerful. He didn't want to miss out on anything and so instead of staying inside the hotel he decided to carry a garbage sack with him everywhere we went. Christian left his mark all over the east coast from outside Yawkey stadium, to the sandy beaches, to Salem at the witch museum (can't blame him for that one...scared me a bit too!) and even at Joseph Smiths Birthplace. What a trooper!

9. Is quite the little football player and even got his Dad into coaching. After a summer football clinic in JULY...Christian decided that football was NOT for him! Jake of course wanted him to give it a try and so decided to sign on as assistant coach for that year. Christian loved it and of course has continued to play. His Dad loved it just as much and is now not just assisting but head coaching Christians team! It is so much fun to watch. This year Christian will not only have Jake as his head coach but will be lucky enough to have his older Brother Andrew there to help assist!! How lucky is he?!?

10. Christian has a very strong testimony of the Gospel and is looking forward to serving an LDS mission. He talks about it often and is crossing his finger he will be called to serve in New Zealand or anywhere in the Orient...of course however will be happy to serve wherever he is needed.

Happy Birthday Buddy! We hope your day is as special as you are. We love you!!

PS, I'm so glad for you that it hasn't been too hot this June...it makes pregnancy so much longer when it's hot :)

Christian is and will be one of my favorite people on this planet.

In fact this planet should be called "planet Christian".. There isn't a better role model♥

FAMILY
I love my family so much. To be apart of a family like mine is so divine, where love is shown hurt is shared our love for each other is never impaired. We talk we laugh we cry, but we are a family and we do it all together. For as a family we do it all as one you hurt one you hurt all and as a family unit we will all stand tall. For we are family a family full of strength a family full of love a family no one can touch. That is why I love my family so much.
