Thursday afternoon Renee and I decided to take Alex and Landon to see the Healing Field. There were 1, 776 flags displayed in honor of the many lives that were lost on 911. Alex and Landon loved running through the flags and posing for our many pictures. To them the flags were just pretty and neither of them understood what they really represented. What a beautiful sight and reminder of how blessed we truly are. I am so grateful to the many men and women who are serving our country and continue to fight for our freedom.
