12 dates of Christmas...part 2

Last year our family started a new tradition...the 12 dates of Christmas. 12 dates you are thinking...aren't you together all the time anyway!?! Well... Jake is very busy during the holiday season and this year he has been even busier!! Sometimes it feels like he is NEVER home and so when he is we really try as a family to enjoy every minute! Now don't I sound all perfect...NOT! Of course every minute isn't perfect and blissful but we're together and truly isn't that what matters??

This year we got our dates off to a GRAND start by not only spending it with our family but all of Jake's family...5 brothers and 23 grandchildren...YES you read that right...and let's not forget #24 or is soon on her way.

So...On the first date of Christmas the Heugly's spent together having a BLAST at Ethan and Amy's.

Jake's brother Ethan and his wife Amy plan a Christmas party every year the first Saturday after Thanksgiving. This year with the BYU/UTAH game falling on that day the party had to be moved...which of course allowed us to count it as one of our many dates. Thanks Ethan and Amy!

We all bring a white elephant gifts, eat way too much (OK maybe just me!!) and of course have a special visitor....SANTA!

Jake's twin brother dresses as Santa every year and even though all of the kids know who he is it is still a riot! This year however they decided to mix things up a bit and Jake showed up as Santa. I didn't know this until he came bounding into the room! Gave me quite the shock as I'm sure he did many others...let's just say Santa should put himself on the Naughty list! Not only did Santa get a little hot in his suit this year and remove a few articles of clothing(OK seriously his hat...he's not that naughty!) but he also well let's just say he "Bust a move" or two!

The party was amazing as usual and everyone left with a smile on their face...especially Sammie who was sporting her new snuggie...Yes as seen on T.V. and let's not forget the bonus slippers that came along with it!

Thanks Ethan and Amy for starting us off and for throwing such a great party!!

FAMILY
I love my family so much. To be apart of a family like mine is so divine, where love is shown hurt is shared our love for each other is never impaired. We talk we laugh we cry, but we are a family and we do it all together. For as a family we do it all as one you hurt one you hurt all and as a family unit we will all stand tall. For we are family a family full of strength a family full of love a family no one can touch. That is why I love my family so much.

A book is like a garden carried in the pocket.
